I treat psychiatric symptoms for clients with other health problems such as:
Thyroid disease
Kidney or liver problems
Autoimmune disease
Frequent pain
Sleep problems
Concussions/traumatic brain injury
Alcohol use
Other factors making mental health problems harder to treat
These common problems must be considered to create a mental health treatment plan tailored specifically for your needs. Prior to seeing me, my patients have usually tried other treatments that didn't work. So now, they don’t want to waste time, and they want value.
If you are tired of of treatments that didn’t work, and you want someone to listen and take the time to come up with a plan made specifically for your needs then reach out on our contact page to schedule a consultation with Dr. Kelley-Cook. How long will treatment take?
With an individualized treatment plan, people usually feel significantly better within 2-4 months, but this may vary depending on a variety of factors.
We will start with an initial intake which includes a diagnostic interview to comprehensively assess what symptoms you are having and your treatment goals.
The initial visit takes about 2 hours and includes a complete review of all the treatment that you have ever had before
Together, we will discuss an action plan that may include:
Medications
Lab testing to diagnose causes of fatigue or mood changes
Psychotherapy with cognitive behavioral therapy
Treatment for low vitamin levels
Lifestyle modifications to promote wellness
Referrals to diagnose or treat other health conditions, such as sleep apnea
Courses of therapy are designed so that you develop the skills you need to help yourself— so you don’t have to be in therapy for the rest of your life:
Therapy lasts 12-16 sessions on average
Sometimes therapy may take fewer than 12 sessions or as long as 25 sessions
Therapy sessions are usually scheduled weekly, but in some cases can be scheduled every other week
Payment:
I am an out of network provider because I don’t want insurance companies to dictate how you receive medical care. Because of this I can spend more time making sure that you understand what is going on with your health, and providing you with what you will need to get better — rather than what your insurance company will pay for.
However, a “superbill” can be provided which is a receipt that includes all the codes needed for you to request partial reimbursement from insurance.
Posted rates are billed to your credit card which is kept securely on file in the electronic medical record keeping software. More information on rates can be found on the Pricing and Payment page.
